Tim Little knows the importance of each and every detail when building a brand. He has turned many global brands around in his previous advertising days. But it is what he has done at Grenson Shoes, a shoemaker since 1866, that had fallen on tough times, that maybe his defining moment. He talks about the days of struggle and the good days. He shares his life experience of branding and the brands he loves, to give key insights on keeping branding and the consumer at the forefront of what you do.
Tim Little is the owner and creative director of a 146-year-old shoe company called Grenson, which he has been slowly dragging into the 19th century.
He also has his own brand of shoes under his own name, is a partner in the technical sailing brand, Gill and is an advisor to cycling brand Rapha.
He has designed or consulted for brands such as Dunhill, Tods, Gieves and Hawkes, Rag and Bone and Albam among many others.
In a previous life, he spent 10 years in advertising, most of which he spent trying to get Adidas to think like Nike.
