Marc Koska noticed a big problem in 1984. The problem now results in twice the number of deaths that are caused by Malaria.

He invented the K1 syringe which is now made under license by some of the biggest medical device companies in the world.

Getting this to market took 17 years and the three billion made since then have resulted in saving 15 million fatal infections in the developing world.
